My first post.
My Vy Crewman V6 won’t start. With a good battery and both sets of keys on hand I turn the ignition to start- nothing.
I have lights on dash, have replaced the ignition switch and starter relay.
I go to the starter relay and run a wire from pole 86. Replace the relay. Turn the key on and tap the wire onto the earth post. The motor spins over but won’t start. I can then go back to trying to start the car using the key. No problem as it will now turn the motor over. But the motor won’t start. Yes there may be two issues.
I have had the starter motor out and bench tested to prove it’s fine.
One auto spark told me it was the body control unit at $900 to replace.
Another one told me it was the computer.
I have had the car towed to the workshop twice, and back home.
Is everyone missing something with the key working after hot wiring the relay for the first time, then removing that wire?
The car has a new water pump and 5 new tyres but has not worked for 18 months. Thanks any advice will be appreciated.
