Gave this muck a go after it got its tyres pumped on youtube detailing channels.

All I can say is holy ****!
I had used the Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic on a few cars and liked it. Hard to apply though. Hard to get a streak free finish. Does a good job of making bad paint look good.

Buying a Turtle Wax product made my eye twitch, but here I am. Stoked!

My utes paint is a bit How ya goin. Gave it a wash and sprayed this stuff on and was amazed! No paint correction and it did a miracle. Years ago, I would not have thought it possible to spray something on, wipe off, and have this happen.

The paint on my VE is new and has the goodies done and sealed. I'll be using the turtle wax from now on. Softer feel after, better beading, easier application and half the price.

Once I've done a proper correction, it's going to look amazing.

I don't have the time I'd like to get it up to a better standard and the Hybrid Ceramic and seal'n'shine help with that.

Totally try it.

I've been using seal n shine for quite a while now. I use it on everything like the headlights, tail lights, glass, plastic etc and like you, get really good results. The only thing that I would have preferred is that it was a sheeter rather than a beader.

I remember back in day turtle products were the ducks nuts then it fell from grace but now some of their products have been getting good reviews. I have some of their interior cleaners and odour remover and they do the job quite well.

Good light to show the colour depth.
Light rain for beading.

No paint correction. Just wash and product.

So, the product was subjected to wet dirt roads and dry dirt roads. That was weeks ago, just after I did the posts above.

Today I hosed, then snow foamed the car. Rinsed and this is how it is.

Light rain, no wind.

In comparison, the Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic on the Calais is now on since October. (Or was it August?) anyway. It to got a rinse and snow foam. Dried off and exposed to light rain.

I have tried both -

Meguiars Carnauba Wax
or
Mequiras Wet Look Wax

Where I prefer with the Mequiars Carnauba Wax,
It seems to last longer,
To apply it properly, you need the right equipment and to take your time -
  • Application Pads
  • Elbow grease
  • Microfiber Cloths
  • Beer
  • Double action polishing machine
  • More Microfiber Cloths
  • Stiff paint brush to remove the wax remnants from the grooves, around the windows seals, lights, decals, doors mouldings, as its looks unsightly when the wax/polish is dry.
  • Double Action Buffing Machine with Lambs wool bonnet,
  • More Microfiber Cloths
  • More Beer ;) [to sit back and admire your work]
Well that's what I did during the week to my VY Super6 Calais, :)
And it looks like a showroom finish, didn't want to drive it
However, drove it to the shops to do the weekly shopping , and you guessed it, its drizzled with rain, but still looks good,
Should only need a hose down and a chamois dry.
