Tying to get my tailshaft of my vs commodore

1997 VS COMMODORE
Hi Everyone

i just want to get some feedback on how to get my tailshaft of my vs commodore as i can't seem to get to the bolt and nut properly to rattle them of the socket
won't fit over them.The u joint seems to be in the way,is that common? or has there been movement somehow.i would appreciate any help you could give me.

Spanner on the diff end. Socket and ext bar on the bearing and it slips right out.

hi LOsh171 yeah i could do that if i could get anything over the nut or bolt(spanner or socket) the part were the trunnion is attached is in the way?

The nut sits on a lip so it doesn't turn. Only attempt to undo the bolts at the diff end

Yup. Spanner on the bolt but I still put a spanner on the nut too just to hold it.
