i use a wipe off one and im in the same boat, it leaves a bit of a line up the back. cant say it looks like ive been doing massive burnouts but it is there and dirt sticks to it. short of using the paint on stuff (which i hate) i have no idea.

vinegar works temporaraly if you ever find yourself out of shine and in need of a cruise!

I used cooking oil spray once... i ran out after 3 wheels so the last wheel got hit with some canola oil :p

I get the $3 blue can stuff from cheap as chips etc... I find that actually works the best. & Ive never had issues with it spraying up the guards ?

yeah we have this problem at work most of the time i dont worry about it. but when i have to do a rolls the owners are really anal so ive got to give it a few mins to soak in and then wipe it off. also if you use the spray on stuff it gets all over your mags and brake dust gathers in a matter of days.

True. I don't like spray-on cos it gets all over your wheels and paint, and dirt/brake dust sticks to it. Spray-on usually doesnt last too long and washes off as soon as it rains.

IMO brush-on is best to avoid overspray. Allow to soak in and wipe over with a rag to stop it flicking all over the bottom of your car. Wiping with a rag makes it lose some of its shine though, but I don't like tyres too shiny anyway.

If you want the high-gloss finish without it flicking all over your guards, use Meguiars Endurance Tyre Shine. It's the bomb, but is expensive. It's a brush-on product, doesn't flick off, you can wipe it with a rag if you're not after such a glossy finish, and it lasts ages.

Too true....

I use the Meguiars Endurance Tyre Shine. Its about $20 a bottle.
I use a Meguiars applicator pad instead of a brush.

It lasts for ages on your tyres and you only need to apply a small amount to cover your tyres....so a bottle also last ages....

I use the spray on but I spray it into a rag and wipe it on anyway.
