Hi everyone, as per the title I'm looking for your advice/opinions on tyre sizes for new rims I've just had delivered.

The front rims are 19x9, +40 offset.
The rear rims are 19x9.5, +45 offset.

I know I could stick with the stock sizes the car is currently running (275/35 and 245/40), but am wondering if I'll have any issues going up one size on both to 285/35 and 255/40?

I understand both up-sized wheel/tyre combos would be 7-8mm bigger in diameter, but the relative size difference between front and rear would remain the same as stock.

I'd be surprised if I had issues with rubbing, but hoping for confirmation (or otherwise) of that.

Thanks

Your rolling diameter is too big.

Swap them for 285/30 and 255/35

Edit:
Sorry I misread your question, I was thinking 20's not 19's

Hi panhead, why do you think it better to have the rolling diameter 20mm smaller than stock versus 8mm bigger?

I don't, when I saw you'd increased the width of the rims my brain automatically calculated for 20inch rims which is the way a lot of owners go.

It wasn't until I had posted I realised you'd stuck with 19's and of course that made my answer wrong.

Your rim offsets are very conservative so you shouldn't have any problems with the tyres you've chosen.

Overall Diameter

245/40R19 - 679mm
275/35R19 - 675mm

255/40R19 - 687mm
285/35R19 - 683mm

255/35R19 - 661mm
285/30R19 - 655mm
