i need some new tyres on my vz exec which just has the standard rims and RE92 205/65 R15 on.
i have heard that for such a large cars these tyres are very insufficient. i dont want to pay for a set of alloys so i am thinking about putting 225/60 on the steel rims. would this be worth doing? despite the alleged traction control i still lose traction in the wet and on dirt roads, and the car doesnt sit well at 110km/h.
of course the downside is cost because the wider tyres are quite a bit more and i dont have to replace all my tyres if i stick with the RE92s. i also believe fuel consumption will also increase, although i have no idea by how much
so my question is do the benefits outweigh the cost? thanks for any help
