So many mixed opinons! I take it not one person here has had the opportunity to drive on both S221's and RE050's and comment on grip, noise levels between both these makes of tyres?

Just putting my feed in, stability over sound any day. Especially in the wet.. noise is bearable. Losing traction, not so much. lol

I bought Falkin tyres once... Felt like you had dozer tracks wrapped around ya rims!!!

If you want a quiet and excellent handling and wearing tyre, have a look at this stuff: Continental Tyres Dominates 2010 Tyre Tests

Or just about anything from Michelin or Pirelli. Normally can be had cheaper than BS.

I love the RE050s. Now about to hit 50,000kms, still good for another 5000-10000 I reckon.

Performance in the wet - check.
Excellent grip - check.
Excellent wear - check.
Expensive - CHECK CHECK CHECK!!!

Yeah the price makes them sooooo not worth it compared to other brands that have as good grip levels.

Falken 452 and Kumho Ecsta KU31 are both great options and a LOT cheaper.

I'm curious as to how people are geting 40 and 50,000 km out of the Bridgies. Mine were scrubbed (front and rear) after 16,000. They had horrible wear and the grip wasn't that impressive, particularly in the wet. Bridgestones are VERY overrated in my opinion.
