I've just bought a 60th Anniversary Commodore - VE 08'

I'm told the Ovation tyre is the one to go for it's only $180
I checked the web and found an adverse review on a UK web site but am told the tyre has been changed since then and is as good as the Bridgstone. ($450)

Anyone know any more ?

Thats the UK review before they switched to silicon, apparently they're ok now.

E1 GTS BUILD NO# 007, GQ Patrol.
Give them a go if they don't work the way you expect change them to the bridgstone's and mark it up as lesson learned!
All be it a very expensive lesson thus defeating the original purpose, but just remember their cheap for a reason.

I'll probably go with the Bridgestones but at $900 a pair, geez the whole car only cost $24k

Yes but they're the one thing keeping you in contact with the road. Buy the best tyres you can afford. :)

Good advice, I almost forgot that, that makes it easier.

OR, you could sell the stupid sized, impractical Holden mags on eBay, and buy the steel wheels and a set of BJ's Allrounders and spend the change on something actually useful.

They will keep you in contact with the road quite nicely, and you'll never worry about kerbing your rims again!.
