Braided lines are awesome lines, however really are only required if you have the power there. In saying that if you want to upgrade your brakes I would highly recommend doing the VT Big Brake upgrade. You will notice a lot more gain out of this upgrade rather then just some braided lines.

The idea of braided lines is to increase pedal feel by eliminating the 'ballooning' effect of rubber hoses.

The factory rubber hoses should not show any signs of perishing, swelling, rubbing or leaking. If they do, they require replacing.

Check that your car will remain roadworthy and your insurance covers this modification.

I have VT brakes. Not worth the effort IMO.
If i were to do it again, I would get VE brakes.

Yes, the VE big brake upgrade is way better.

As above, you don't really need to replace your brake lines unless they are stuffed. The original lines are reinforced and it takes a lot to make them swell.

Even braided lines will swell to a certain extent as the internals are still rubber and it compresses.

Braided lines to be honest are a little overrated, and generally most of the benefit people get is either:
    - Because the fluid was crap (very typical of most cars), and the fluid was changed by default.
    - Or because the lines that were on the car were perished and past their useable life, and getting new lines full stop improved the problem. ie. replacing them with new rubber lines would've had the same net effect. New rubber lines don't expand anywhere near as much as people made out.

All that said, we do now stock Hel braided lines in any color you like. Price is $231 for the 5 lines (5th line is body to diff), plus you need a distribution block, which is $59. No idea why that ebay listing doesn't list the distribution block... :S
