Hi all Firstly i have done a search and i couldnt come up with what i was looking for I think that my welsh plugs are starting to go. I went for a spin up in the hills yesterday, and all was good, no problems with heat etc. But today i got in the car and went for a quick drive (1km at most). When i got back into my car i noticed that it was leaking a little water from underneath. The radiator too 2lt of water when i bled the system. The water pump looks fine, no leaks. The Manifold gaskets look ok, and the engine is running fine and smooth, so that doesnt indicate head gasket. The radiator is 2 months old, and iv checked the tanks and hoses, all are in good condition. The heater core is fine, checks that. So i guess its the left hand welsh plugs. I dont want to do it myself, id rather drop it at the mechanics on the way to work then pick it up later. How much am i looking at to have the plugs done? I know the back ones need to have the engine out, so i might leave those till i do my manual conversions cheers CC Or any ideas about what else to check?
hehe its a bitch, welch plugs cost like 4 dollars each, the exhaust manifolds need to come off , it depends if the mechanic wants to do them, and he will charge what he wants if he doesnt really want to do them
iv just read that the ecotec doesnt have rear welsh plugs, but rather a rear seal locating plate... Holden Commodore Information Guide. cant be cheap to fix
