..umm fellaz ive noticed that the plug for my air sensor that hooks up to the filter box has been disconnected and i thenk its been lyk that for a while. i have plugged it back in few mins ago..would you say when it was d/c its been confusing/messing up with the ECU..lik air/fuel ratioz?..lol not big minded on engines. its been running fine ever since but will it run fine when i run it 2moz?..do i needa reset some settings? lol
thats strange man if ur air flow sensor is unplugged it should idle but will stall when you go to accelerate...
the sensor on the airbox is just a air "temp" sensor, it will run fine without it but might throw out some error codes on the ECU.
hrmm..you may be thinkin of the wrong plug walesy. dusnt the airflow meter sit between the out-put of the airfilter and inlet of the autual inlet air hose? i have a 6 cylinder ECO-tec..i thenk the plug is the air temp sensor maybe? and this plug is connected straight on to the air filter box
oh dats a relief..cheers champ!...how would i kno if i hav an error on the ECU??..will it light up on the dash board? or will i need that Error scanna for commodres to find out if i have an error in the ecu?
yeh it would have just logged the error code on the ECU, nothing to worry about. you can disconnect the battery for a few mins to clear it if you want but i wouldnt worry about it.
When I cleaned my air filter the last time I forgot to plug it back in and the engine light came on right away. That was my car anyway.
