He won't have the issues you had if he lowers it a little bit. You obviously had yours belly scraping low to have all those problems. I could agree because I have also had cars that low and had those problems.

Nothing's worse then a car with 19"+ size rims and standard height. Just doesn't look right. In saying that, if you enjoy it looking high like that then by all means leave it.

As for camber wear issues, get a camber kit. Problem solved.
The second pic where you lowered it looks 10 times better!!!!

My VS is on 19's with super lows with shortened shocks and it's really not that bad of a ride.

My senators front bar is inches off the ground, the rear is slightly lowered and I don't have camber wear issues/ scraping issues or bumpy roads issues... Well it's kinder more bumpy then my 2013 stock as a rock jeep on 22s.

thanks for the input guys. I don't mind the look of the white walls. thanks for the chop trayner.

I like the look of less tyre and more wheel so I'll have to deal with the bumps. so I think I will keep the profile as they are for now, as I stand by my opinion that big wheels belong on big cars. that and all 4 tyres are basically brand new. I had the VR lowered on pedder's sports ryda struts and springs and it was low enough for me when I had the 19's on it (look back through the tread about my VR statesman if you want to take a look) I just had that little bit of tyre tuck at the back. I think a set of shorter springs will be right on the money.

but before suspension, exhaust is next on the cards. going to do a full new system so it sounds like a V8.

You all may be right. Dunno what springs I have on my vr since it was the previous owner who lowered it. But it was very low and kinda ruined it for me sometimes.

Maybe one day maybe not. Im not a fan of it sitting at stock height looks wise but I fear if I lower it i will have dejavu. Maybe when and if I get 19's ill bring it down a tad.

the VR sat sky high on the 19's before I lowered it. here's a pic of it on the same wheels with stock height. keep in mind that the rear suspension was rooted in the VR before it was lowered, hence why it got completely overhauled at the time. the rear struts where leaking too.

and that's my old VS exec in the background (RIP)

ditched the engine cover today and dat dust  I'll wash the engine bay when it gets a service. I also like it without the cover.

also finally got around to putting some new parkers in, LED ones of course (with resistors, no blown globe warnings for me) much better than the old t10s.

VY/WK has no adjustment for camber in the rear. That said, you don't get as much camber/toe in the first place when you lower it compared to older models. King Springs 'low' or similar will probably achieve the ride height you are after. I have King Springs 'low heavy duty' in my VY without a camber kit and the wear on the tyres is negligible. The last tyres i had (Bridgestone Adrenalin) i ended up replacing after 30,000km/4years because the compound was going hard and they still had at least 40% tread everywhere on the rear.

10x better without the turtle shell. The turtle shell keeps all the heat in there, first thing I done when I brought my vy was remove it.

it's clean on the outside and inside the car, but it still has some dust underneath the car and in the a/c vents. I'll need to get a long brush or something to clean the ducts. I'm also looking to fit a cabin air filter to the a/c intake and over the intake for re-circulation to control the amount of dust getting into the car because I'm constantly wiping the dash.

the WK was from the country just like yours, but the dust on it is more of a brown dust, not the red that your car has. when I get around to doing the zorst I'll give the underside a good clean too.

so I've had the WK for about 4 months now and added 5.5k to it so I've decided it's time to service. I'll investigate the noisy brakes when I do - I suspect they need servicing too but the brother thinks they could be dusty as mum's other half has a 1km long gravel driveway. also going to change the rocker cover gaskets as they are a little dirty around them and going to de-grease and wash the engine bay to eliminate some of that dust. also putting a new fuel filter in as the engine is dusty, I suspect the fuel filter is well over due. also going to do the leads and plugs, can anyone suggest some good leads?

    and another happy snap

she's actually dirty in that pic (by my standards that is)

Dusty or just ****. My car sees 2.2km of dirt driveway regularly, silent as a mouse. Stock leads are more than sufficient on a stock engine (Bosch).

sound system is now in. it's now got a sony double din touchscreen dvd deck with bluetooth and mirrorlink. I'm running alpine splits in the front and pioneer 6" in the back. I carried over the subs and amps from the VR. also had the bluetooth kid removed and ripped out the factory subs.

and what was taken out, I didn't bother about removing the factory amp. it was just bypassed.

I might eventually upgrade the front splits and move the alpine ones to the back to fill in the holes in the parcel shelf. also might get some DVD screens for the back as I have my young nephew in the car often and it would keep him occupied as he's mentally disabled.

Better bass response if you leave the parcel shelf holes as is ^^.
