Changed fuel filter and fixed up the window main switch as drivers window wasnt going up nicely so cleaned the contact and all good.

Decided to take some pics in daylight and clean lense for once
Car was washed Wed or Thursday night with a wash n' wax and a quick car detailer for black cars.

Took them using HTC phone camera, near Best Mufflers in Carlton Sydney. Its about 2mins from me.
Nearby was a red Ford Ranchero left hand drive. Took some pics as well.

Fixed up remote again

From what i gather, battery terminals pushed against inner shell causing dry solders and pressed up against the buttons causing them to discharge battery quickly.

Had a range of bout 2 metres.

Took it apart again, replaced battery with spare and now is as powerful as my genuine remote with about a 20 metre range or so

Also padded the inner shell with some pc sound deadening foam, it's pretty firm and dense foam.

Today, got a Pink Slip for the car due to rego coming up.

Picked up these this morning and picture taken this morning of them. Look pretty good and basic

Oil Fluids Change
Changed Diff Oil and Engine oil/filter on Thursday 12th
Changed over to Castrol Edge Titanium to check it out as LS1 users reckon it da bomb. Will see bout that.

Also this car does not like using ramps (usualy use stands) front first. Other cars was fine. Gets 1/4 way up and pushes the stands on the concrete so lucky i had some rubber mats to put down and stop them from moving on the conrete and finally got her up on ramps.

Supposed to use the Sturaco 7098 Additive in the LSD diff (stops chatter) but the Castrol SAF-XA contains it anyway so added the Nulon stuff as well for shits and giggles

Nulon Full Synthetic 80W-140 Heavy Duty also contains the additive but will see how this combo goes.




She purrs now. Love it

Used 4.5litres oil so i could add the other stuff i had left over
Caltex Edge 10w60 Titanium 4.5Litres

LSD Diff
Penrite LIMSLIP 85W-140 1 Litre

Castrol SAF-XA 500mls (was leftover from Falcon but recommended also for this)

Rug Doctor Results.

Wouldnt you know it, missed a spot on the drivers seat. Easily remedy using windex of something. (great stuff)

Added ProMA MBL8 Oil Addititive To the Castrol Oil

Whether or not, It still smoothes out the car engine, seems to purr alot more nicer and just better.
I have used it on all my cars and in every one, it makes a difference. It is a slight difference but definitive though.

So I also removed the bonnet liner and also the washed, polished and quick waxed the car

I also fixed up soem clear coat imperfections caused by bird droppings.
Because of the acid in their crap, it ate into the clear coat pretty rapidily. Last saturday I did some overtime and away from the car for 5 hours.

In that time frame a bird crapped on it and by the time i got home and noticed it and removed it, it was too late.

Tried all the usual cleaning to no effect. ScratchX alone couldnt fix it.

I used my Turtle Wax headlight restoration kit, using the special abrasive pads from course to fine with lubricant
Then used the headlight restoreation kit Restore and ScratchX, then polish and wax and comes up a treat.

And finally bonnet liner removed and underside touched up with soem touch up paint.
And a couple pics for shits and giggles side on.

Had a full wash, Turtle Wax Polish Black, Quick Wax as well.

Unfortunately raining today (of course would be wouldnt it) and also pictures taken on camera phone with no flash inside at 12am or so.

Actually, these pics were taken a couple months ago. Seemed to have had a phone camera issue which is now sorted then all of a sudden they came up.
Anyway, was a few days after a wash and thought i would use my camera phone to take some pics..
