Hi all.
I was wandering how to remove this connector for the headunit's microphone, located in the roof console (sunglasses holder, int. lights).
As you can see, it is not a usual plug.
Would I need special tools? Should I just snip em? Did GM need to use stupid plugs?
Thank you.

Yep, special tools are required.

Eyes, brain, fingers.

Look at the plug carefully and you'll be able to work it out.

Use a small nylon trim tool (ideally) or small flat blade screw driver to gently lift the tang over the tab (marked by green arrow). Gently wiggle side to side while pulling back on it. Whisper sweet nothings at it. Nod knowingly. Yeah. Pull it out.

Thank you manchu man. I guess this is the equivalent to pulling a "push" door, I probably spent 15 minutes trying to pull that tab (marked by green arrow) DOWN.

Thank you smartass
