whats up? i've just been looking around on the internet and saw alot of videos and things where people have put a v8 fuel pump in their ecotec. was just wondering id there's any noticable gains when driving the car if i did that or if i'd need to do work to the engine?
also i own a 2001 vx s-pack if that helps
the things i have done to my car so far are:
polished intake plenum and manifold and replaced all gaskets,
pod filter,
8mm ignition leads,
platinum iridium plugs
and a 2 1/2" x-force cat back exhaust.
also thinking about a cold air intake, worth it?
cheers

There would be zero gain from it. Just stick with the normal pump.

Besides your car has no go-faster mods, other than the exhaust, which would make very little difference, so you are a long way away from needing upgrades to your fuel system.

Depends on what sort of CAI we are talking about here.

You could throw $500 at a SS Inductions system, or go for a cheaper Aunger system. Or you could just head down to Holden and get a L67 intake.

I would start with throwing away the pod, illegal and highly visible for any cop that pops your bonnet. Unless you go for an enclosed pod system which would probably be your best bet, something like this, COLD AIR INTAKE TO SUIT HOLDEN VT-VY V6 - Mace Engineering Group

yea i have enclosed mine by cutting out a section of the stock airbox. and just trying to get ideas of a good cai that still looks stock, so i think those mace ones would be good.
thanks for the help and feedback mate :)
