Yep youll get overtaken by small children on 3 wheel bikes.

Diesel goes a lot better.

I think the missus could jog along side without too much of a hassle - and that's just while the auto box is trying to decide what gear it wants to be in!

But the ipod plugs right in - makes the long wait between gears slightly more interesting!

Dropped it off today for the start of the 'exploration'. If I can get some kind of result after this, it might make driving the loan Cruz worthwhile - which, incidentally, would have to be the slowest, and most uncomfortable car on earth.

Good luck mate i really hope you get good results, btw my better half wants a Cruze.

She will have to wait now though.

Thanks Mike, appreciate it.

Tell her the smart money is on a Golf. The Cruzes look much better in pictures than in the flesh. They look squashed, much the same way the camrys look squashed. Too tall or not wide enough.

Like Ricey said, I'm sure the diesels have a bit more grunt (but would smell horrible!) but Im just finding this thing so uncomfortable, the auto box is one of the worst I can remember driving and you get more feed back from a mute, than the steering wheel. Aside from that, it's a decent car, if you don't mind cheap plastic interiors.

Just call me Mr Optimism!

Driving a TK barina is like riding a retarded koala with leprosy.

In other words, it isnt enjoyable at all.

Oh I'm well aware. The Missus has a TK. Can't say it's the greatest purchase she's ever made. However, IS a step up from her last car! (don't ask!). And it's with that sort of information that I stand by my previous statement! lol

All the fancy turquoise lights and ipod conectivityness just doesn't make up for the downfalls of the thing!

But retarded koala with leprosy is on the money as far as descriptive phrases go! I'd been using "driving an undersized bath tub full of too many spastics suffering from epiliepsy" - but I like yours better!

You know, if it had a manual gearbox and seats that fit humans, it wouldn't be too bad. I can deal with a slow car, that isn't REALLY the issue (although the petrol one is PAINFULLY slow). What gets me is the "you want what gear?" approach the auto box seems to have adopted. I'd describe it as schizophrenic.

For a girls car its fine but for men like us that demand grunt, handling and comfort it fails on all three.

:D
