    Hey every1

Just want other peoples opinion i love my Commy its a VP S Pak but has got a bit of k's on it now nothing looks better than a hotted up VP Commy.
I want to get a new engine but a turbo instead. I was actually thinking of putting the 1jz motor in, cause i have been told it would be a good fit.
Also is it ok to change from auto to a manual. I guess you got to becareful who does it aye.

Hopefully get some new suggestions or advice

    thankyou

There's a couple of 1jz VN/S's around Australia but it's all the way easier to use the RB30

there is a RB26 powered Vn in toowoomba churning out some serious power as well as a Vn from around lismore / ballina way with a 1JZ. but for me i didn't even think about a conversion as i'll be upgrading to something newer in a few years so i didn't want the hassle but rather just turboed the v6

i think you need to consider these things first before you get too carried away, when going to manual you need to make sure you use a 8 bolt flywheel box (s1 has 6 bolts and the crank is a diffrent length)

    0. (the real important one) will i legalize it or run the chance of the dreaded yellow sticker?

    1. Is it EPA Legal (depends on state) what kind of ADR tests do you need to undergo, how much will it cost to get legalized emissions wise, in victoria your required to go for ADR37/00 again, which is a strict and expensive epa emissions test,

    2. Can i then get it engineered? what will i need for engineers.. ie Bigger brakes, bigger master, strengthening of chassis etc

    3. will it be reliable and how long will the car be off the road? yep **** happens, probblems come up

    4. what will i do about engine management, this is overlooked, if you boost on a stock tune it will go bang, not instantly but after a few days of "fun"

    5. can i afford to do it properly/ fix it when it brakes? will my trans hold up? will the motor last?

    6. if i buy a turbo kit, whats not included in the kit? ie injectors, map sensor, tune

    7. can i justify spending upto 5-6 grand on this car thats worth 2-3, if so have i got a daily?

    8. will it be fun? F******************K yeah :p
