Okay, I would like to do some upgrades to my vn bt1, I don't think it had any engine modifications when we got it, but I'm looking at getting a set of new fuel rails off eBay, and I would like to know if they should work okay. eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d And I was also thinking about put a twin throttle body manifold, and I would like to know home much more power it would give it? If it does.. Ahaha Cheers
I could think of 150 better things to spend $150 on such as a decent exhaust from the cat back if it does not already have one. First on my list would be a full service followed by a good memcal tune really wakes them up. If you are looking for big gains then I suggest you start looking at replacing the cam and installing flat top pistons followed by a tune to suit. You may want to look at diff gears too depending on how and where you use the car.
invest the $$ towards ensuring that the car is up to scratch mechanically first, then modify for better performance and efficiency. a new fuel rail will do sfa unless yours is damaged? maybe better of spending that cash on some reconditioned injectors?
Yea, I will get it serviced first, it's been sitting in the drive way for a few years. So it would defiantly needing it ? and I also found a problem, when I rev it, it cuts out? Sorry, I'm 18 and I'm learning one the way. Thanks
probably stale fuel... or seeing as you said its been a few years out of action, replace all ignition components and all replaceable fuel components. see how you go
Yea, I filled her up with vortex 98 couple weeks ago, but yea, what fuel components might need replacing? My mum told there was a couple things wrong with the car, so I'll find out what they are again, it also had a aftermarket cruise control system that wasn't working no more so I took it out, could that result in a problem to??
stock replacement fuel pumps are cheap so i'd replace that, then you know thats done! Fuel filter reconditioned injectors, or get yours cleaned up.
Yea, shall do that too. Also, had anyone installed gauges? Voltage ones? Cause I got one today, and I wanted to know what the best ignition wires to tap into? Cheers again
