Ok guys, the title says it all. Came back from the servo after filling up and couldn't get the door open. The window was down so I got a screw driver and took the lock casing off, the lock 'pin' thing appears to be fully unlocked but the door still will not open. I thought I might be able to take the door card off to get a closer look but then realised I can't open the door in the first place to do so. Anyway, would appreciate any advice you guys can throw at me.

Cheers,
Chilly.

tried using the key manually?

bang on the door half way down as you jiggle the key towards the unlock position

Have tried this and it won't budge. Now that i think about it though, it feels as if there's no pressure when i pull on the door handle if this makes sense (the handle just flicks straight out). Also the car recognizes that i have unlocked the doors either way, just the door won't budge.

so if you hit unlock/lock on remote the door snib rod moves up and down?
if not grab it with a pair of pliers you SHOULD be able to lift it up and push it down

The rod moves up but (it would appear) not all the way, i can pull it up the rest of the way but it still makes no difference, the door will not move.

the door may be stuck in secondary lock
turn the key in the door and lift the rod up as you do it
in one position not deadlocked it should feel looser

with the outer door handle feeling loose and the lock not moving all the way up manually
but remote moves the rod upwards on unlock
i would think the lock is stuck in secondary (deadlock) position

put key into door lock and bang hard on the edge of the door where the latch is
while forcefully turning key to unlock try also to pull the rod up to fully unlocked while doing it
i think it has to be all the way down to allow the dead lock to undo, has a catch on it
so lock it on the snib or with remote
but make sure its all the way down
then try to un deadlock the door with key

I did this, doesn't seem to be the problem. As far as I can tell the rod is fully unlocked but the handle itself feels lose. Is it possible that the door handle has come off the hook/spring thing. Sorry 'bout my lack of terminology I only know what the parts look like, not what they're called XD
