Did he wet the fuse box, blown fuel pump relay or fuse, also did he wet near the air box maybe he flooded it and its sucking in a heap of water? long shot.
I bet he will never wash another engine again, even if you explain to cover all electrics in plastic bags and WD-40etc..

OK, my eldset son went over the help his brother, they unplugged the oil pressure switch, gave it a clean and plugged it back in and the car runs. They have bought a new pressure switch and will replace it tomorrow,just in case. I told them to spray some contact cleaner into the socket of the plug top and push in on and off the switch terminals a few times to help make a good connection, so fingers crossed.
