Had same problem at my parents' house in Auckland when it was unoccupied for some time. The neighbour's fluffy white cat claimed it as a toilet (I could tell by the white fur in its scats). A fragrant spray of scat across my legs whenever I cut the grass.
Happened to have a large pair of pipe grips in my hand when the cat ventured into the front yard. "Accidentally" connected with the cat. Most accurate accidental throw I've done for some time.
Flash of white.
Never saw it again.

hmmm i assumed so, or ive got a good skin i could send over, killed, skinned n treated myself, just peg it up so it looks like it's standing in the yard

None in Tas, so i wasn't sure about NZ. Possums were introduced I believe and have caused havoc with the Kiwi bird, IIC, unless it rats causing problems.

Not of the four legged variety.

Feral cats are a problem in Australia.
Killing many native and endangered animals, they're also a host for infectious diseases.

No foxes here unfortunately (not the 4 legged type anyway) but I do appreciate the offer. I do think our quarantine people wouldn't be happy about it either.
