Well bugger me! This thread has stayed pretty much on topic and civil.

I don't know what the justification for the chase was but the fact is there was a chase, that takes 2 parties, just because the occupants of the car didn't shoot, and it was a misheard back fire they obviously were up to no good as they ran.

As to why the US is like the US is simple.... User pays.

This seems to breed a money at all costs mentality, combine this with a sense of entitlement and you have the perfect storm.

Posted the article as a window to another country. Just a sample of what we get in the media, some to compare. A bit of perspective from a local guy. All the hate is kept alive by the constant exposure and adding to the pot a bit extra that has no relevancy on the report (see the bold letters).

Well, my son is getting out of the military after 8 years of service and 5 living in Germany. You bet your asses that I will quizing him to death, mining for intel (figure of speech).

To answer the elections of no more than 8 years is to prevent a dictator and yes Roosvelt was an odd ball, but the WW2 was the main reason for such accion.

However, elections now days is a money making operation. We do not have a dictator per se, but we have a dictatorship with 2 political parties of the same. Does not matter who is the pressie, is just a spoke hole, a pitchman.

The media is a key factor in maintaining the marginalisation of marginalised people. If someone does something bad, if you are LGBTI, non-white, and/or muslim, there is a reasonable chance it will be casually mentioned.

Listen to this.... News Show (small sample). The people are getting fed up with the hate mass carpet bombing. Each time you turn the telly on is nothing but that crap. Is the constant reminder, even if you are the most unbiased individual it gets on your nerves. That is why I do not watch the news in the TV is nothinh but lies, hate, plain and simple rubbish. With a dash of advertisement for prescription antidepresant medications.

I think the media has turned up the wick on becoming even more of a bunch of Vampires trying to dictate or influence the majority of people and it's true that the media is nowadays just a bunch of degenerates pushing a lot of filth coming the heavy with anyone who does not look up to there Nazi type of influence they push.

The Media in Nazi Germany and Communist Russia truly played a real big part back in the days, they just kick out anyone who does not tow the Political Correct line.

Not sure how much exposure you guys got in Oz from US propaganda. What we have in the US telly is the constant reminder on why we hate each other. All sports are turning on political garbage, the news is all either exagerated or fabricated. The new meme is "Fake News". If you do not agree or have a differente view/opinion, is all "Crackpot Conspiracy Theory" or "Fake News". A good one is the US elections and the Russian Hackers. That is a lie. The voting system changes from state to state. Most machines are stand alone and paper is used as official record. The US media is trying hard to blame the Russians for the so called "Influencing" and "Hacking the US Elections"; nobody in the US is buying it, except for the bots. In the meantime, riots get tons of air time/exposure. Just a reminder to all that we hate each other to no end.
