The driver's side door seal, the one that attaches to the body shell is really sad. I want to get a s/h one from the wreckers but seeing the drivers door gets used the most it is the one most likely to also be worn. Has anyone ever tried using a back door seal on the front? The curvy corners might need a bit of straightening, but it might work. I dunno. Any thoughts?

    What's anew one worth?

I don't think rubbers are too cheap any more.. All you can do is measure, if it the one I'm thinking of, it'll bend anywhere. So measure and try it.

It is the on glued to the door frame yes?

I doubt it'll fit. It'll most likely be to small..
Try and find a good S/H one..

Not sure if it is glued.
A passenger side front one would be the same length at least, just the bends issue.

i used a passenger front for my driver door. just have to convince it with a heat gun in the new corners. also youll need to get out the urethane and some masking tape for when the glue between the rubber gasket and trim separate after a couple weeks of use. mine came loose pretty much all over, but i kept using urethane and masking tape to stick it back down. by the next morning you can pull the tape off and its all good.

Heat gun does sound like the go.
    Not familiar with urethane.
What sort of adhesive has it?

i use the sikaflex 221 marine grade black urethane. you can get it at bunnings. if your not careful it can get messy, but it will easily clean up (when still wet) with some wax and grease remover or solvent of any kind. i use it cause it sticks and holds on like holy hell, never had anything come loose after applying it.

you just have to make sure its on a clean dry surface. i sometimes rough up the surfaces i want to bond with some sand paper or scotch brite, it will hold that much better. my vp is practically held together with it.
