This is just a quick guide on how i used vy ss tail lights on my vz calias rear bar,
Please dont be to harsh if you dont think this is a good solution, But im happy with the solution and if anyone else here wants to give it a try why not!
I bought a vz calais rear bar only to find out the rear lights are a different size, as pictured.
I didnt like any of the Calais lights from vy/vz and the ones i did like where $600, So i Started thinking of ideas to somehow use these lights on my vz calais rear bar.
The reason why i had these lights was because i had a vy acclaim rear bar on the car, i wanted to replace this bar since it was a slightly different colour and was in rough condition as pictured.
So i cut out the section underneath the rear lights, Note: You will need to use a bar of the same colour for it to look proper, mines slightly off.
Using a measuring tape and some patience i masked off the section needed, And hand cut leaving 4cm of extra material to work with.
Then i took it to the table top sander, and slowly sanded it down. Because the top of them have cut-outs for the lights, it makes it really easy to slip in before you put the light in.
I could of and should of sanded mine with a little more patience and effort. But it was my first time ever using a sander so yea.
They came out looking like this.
As you can see i didnt do the sanding that well, im currently trying to figure out a way to make the line less noticeable but im happy with it at the moment.
Thanks for reading.
