Hi Folks,
Pleased with my new Jungle Green Ute, but note that the 6 No. load anchor points are at the top of the load bed, could really do with 6 No. at the bottom of the tray. Has anyone done this, or know if it can be done, who/how/where/costs etc would be appreciated.
Many thanks for all and any suggestions.
Nix.

Not sure if 'Tie down rails' are an option on VF like they were on VE.

As Imoengnr said the VE could be optioned with tie down rails in the bed, I had them in my first VE Ute.

Ask your dealer if they are still available as there is no difference between the VE and VF.

And I think if you Googled them you'd find a number of different types of aftermarket solutions as well.

I had them optioned on my Redline ute, found they came in real handy.
When I bought my Maloo, they weren't an option.
Went and talked to Spare Parts at the local dealer, they sourced the 'kit' for me(a dealer fitted option).
Installed it myself, took about 6 hours, and it was pretty 'involved'...

You're not wrong about the work involved as I was surprised when I originally looked into it.

Respect to you as I wussed out and opted to pay the dealer to do it.

how strong are these rails? would you trust them with an expensive sportsbike tied to them?

I don't think you'll have any problems keeping a big bike tied down with these rails.

Guys,
Many thanks for your interests and quick responses...Jeez! It really looks like a p.i.t.a. to fit these, and I'm sure a Dealer would bend me over on the price to fit them too!
Damnit!

Don't worry, I nearly did the same...... It was a bit daunting as I unpacked the kit, went through the 20+ pages in the instruction booklet.

I went to the local dealer, talked to the workshop manager, he said they had only done one install before(my Redline), and didn't want to do any more....

So, challenge accepted....

In reality, the install was pretty straight forward....
