Ute exhaust from a maloo GenF2 to a VF2SS.

I love the stock sound but want just a bit more while also just starting some simple mods. Want to upgrade the exhaust slightly while still retaining the bimodal control and stock look for warranty/service.

Searched and seen a fair bit about HSV exhaust system swaps to SS but unsure on the setup needed for a ute. I have read that the overall length (or just the tips) is slightly shorter so might sit under the tray but Id probably retain the OG tips possibly OG bimodal to fix this anyway.

Been quoted $800 for a full system off a wreck gen-F2 posted.
Anyone have any idea if it will be a perfect straight swap I could do myself at home?

I think bill try the full system with HsV try Y. There is a cat back available in adelaide though for cheap

Will I need wiring harness or will it connect to existing plugs as I have bimodal?

Now he can only do catback after talking about engine back for a while. Might just find a local as I dont want to lose $1k+ if it doesn't work out.

Must have been some serious damage to write off an F2 LSA..I'd be concerned at the condition of the exhaust to be honest. What's the chances of it being undamaged and completely straight..?

try planet parts in melbourne, i picked up a as new hsv maloo mid section from them bolted straight up and used my ss redline ute bimodal mufflers, cost around $250 maloo hsv 2 1/2 inch centre section pipes compared to stock redline utes 2 1/4 cheers mate

Thanks mate I had seen planet parts they had a note that said maloo wouldn't fit ss ute but I'll try it.

Catback is easy to find but whole system not so much especially the hsv try y headers.

There is a catback in adelaide (near me) for like $150
