G'day, I thought maybe someone could help me. I have seen a vr/vs ute with a column shift, instead of a console it had a smaller unit around the stereo and heater controls. As far as im concerned this looks the biz. I'd love to install this into my sedan, I have tried hoden they no longer make it/stock it. I have tried every wrecker in my area no love. By any chance would anyone know where I can get these pieces? Maybe someone has rhis in their wagon/ute and would like a console? Cheers
I have some bits but they are damaged so they wont be alot of use. Parts you need to change it over are; the bracket that the radio bolts to and the bracket that the maincovering piece of trim over that centre section bolts too. And the understeeringwheel fold down piece, the different controls for heater and the power button and wht not. is this helping? and the steering clumn shroud is a different size so your original one might not fit.
All I need is the entire centre piece. Stereo surround heater controls under piece etc. If you have this stuff how much do you want for it? I am in newcastle so I can drive up to the central coast to get it.
honestly mine is kinda screwed i wouldnt wanna see it someones ca its too smashed up every piece is broken in someway, it had had a very hard time before i got the car and changed it all.
To be honest dude, it doesn't really matter. If I can get the metal support surround and underpiece and controls off ya. I'm pretty sure I can fix em. I'm looking at a custom dash based on the ute/wagon dash. So damage doesn't really bother me.
