V2 Monaro
G’day all

Does an automatic Monaro really devalue the vehicle?

I’m looking at $22k for a red V2 Auto Monaro.

$132km on the clock.

Car is mint and in ridiculously good condition.

I’m 27 y/o and I’d expect to still have this in 20 years time.

I’ll need to buy some factory rims, as I hate the aftermarket which will cost approx. $1500.

Just seeing everyones thoughts before I commit.

My only real concern is that its auto.

I would not say an auto devalues it, maybe a manual adds to the value ……. if you want a manual.
Mine is auto because that is what I wanted at the time, considering its use at the time, and that my wife used it also. Now, I wish it was a manual because it is not a daily drive, but I don’t regret my original choice.
My personal opinion as to Monaro devaluing, is the awful interior colours that were so fashionable back when, and now just look  yuk.

Won't devalue it. Maybe manuals are slightly more desirable but it's also about what you want to do with it.
I went auto because at the time it was to be a daily drive and the car i was trading in was a manual and i was getting sick of it in stop start traffic.

VZ Auto here. It doesn’t feel likes it’s devaluing
