You can use everything from input shaft to ring gear, you just need to check the end play is within specification which is 0.005 to 0.020, this is achieved by a selective washer on top of the input drum under the bearing.

Edit
Can you post the year of your 700r4 as there are some differences in reverse input design thanks.

From what i have found the 3HBM is a 1993 be "3" for 93 and three letters being 90 onwards is that correct ?

Why i ask is the after market parts arnt cheap here and parts like the Sun gear basket is the same price as I can get a complete
v6 4L60 to use the parts from etc, not sure if the 3-4 clutches and shift servo would be better
can i use the 4L60e for parts also ? heaps of them around,
planed upgrade for 700r;
Shift servo (corvette etc)
z-pack 3-4 clutch
Seperator plate
Sun gear Basket

Yes that is a 93 4l60.

You can use the 4l60e reverse input drum as it has the same rectangle feed hole as the 93 4l60.

The earlier 4l60 had a round feed hole in the reverse input drum and is not interchangeable for the reverse input drum with the rectangle feed hole.

Buy the 4l60 for parts that way you will have a spare valve body and oil pump, clutches are the same don't use the V6 servo in a v8.

Yes you can use about 85% of the 4l60e parts.

Upgrades

Use a Corvette servo.
Use the z-pack

As for the separator plate is yours worn out?

Sun gear basket, do you mean reaction sunshell if so don't re-use your old one, replace it with monster or beast reaction sunshell.

I have not pull about to look at separator plate, I old guy I got the trans from said 99% trans should be good to go as is..... but because you have
the trans out might save time just to ticky it up .....

I have seem a guy on YT drill out the separator plate....is that as good as getting a new one if warn or is that for another reason?

He is increasing the clutch feed orifice size to improve clutch engagement times and it firms up shift, not because it is warn out.
