Hey Guys,

*puts on flame suit as a safety precaution*

I have a VT V6 and I'm getting an electric exhaust cut out installed in my car.
Reason being: I had a loud exhaust set up before, gone quieter now, miss the stupid loudness (at high revs it used to hit 122dB)

Where would be the best place to put my cut out if i just want stupid loudness, and does anyone know the dB level it'd make?

System as stands = hurricane extractors> 200cell hiflo cat > centre hotdog > rear suppressor
OLD LOUD SYSTEM = hurricane extractors> 200cell hiflo cat > centre hotdog > dump after rear wheel (end of cabin)

I'm thinking for the old sound itd be just after the hotdog?

Thoughts and ideas :)

If you want it stupidly loud, then just after the cat would be the way to go. But it will sound like a tractor.

Any idea what the dB reading would be for that? Possibly after the hotdog then? hotdog should give it some form of 'note' (use that term lightly) and it's only a metre if that further down the piping..

It will sound like a tractor and people will think your a wanker. Also the cops will have a field day on your car.

It will be used on rare times and on some night drives now and then. It's more or less for the option of the loudness to feed my immature mind.
However thanks for not offering advice on possible dB level and where for it to be placed(y)

The hotdog will take the edge off it and will sound less like a tractor, so yes, just after the hotdog would be better.

Depends where you put the DB meter should be nearly the same. So glad school holidays are over soon.
