V6 Exhaust - Post here

I'm getting a set of:

Pacemaker Extractors
2.5" exhaust, all the way.
High flow cat

On a VN V6.

1) Will it increase performance much?
2) Will it sound good?

I reckon that would sound loud especially the 2.5 all the way through to tip. Power wise you should see some gains. Generally exhausts add about 5 - 10kw of power.

How loud is LOUD?

I'm gonna ask them for it to be quiet in the low revs, and really free flowing and loud when you've got the boot down.

Possible?

Too much to ask of them?

You can still have a cat-back system on Ps, you just can't get extractors.

comes under the coppers discretion, in NSW its "no performance enhacing modifications"

Well here's mine!

Recpie to make commodore sound like boat.

1) remove rear resinator
2) remove muffler
3) leave dumped at cat

VN V6 Dumped at cat.

Sounds terible... lol

I have Pacemakers and 2.5 straight through muffler and it is quiet on idle but when you give it some revs it sounds pretty loud.

I got the exhaust in yesterday. It goes much better now, and the guy said it'll take up to 3 days of reasonable driving for the sound really to come into play.
