went to put a different set of heads on my vn 2day (ported shaved dbl springs etc) but didnt realise that the set that i had got were off a series1 (mine being a vp s2 now). anyhow after removal of the old heads i realised that the s2 heads run a breather hole out the side and in2 the manifold and the s1 run a breather thru the rocker cover. was a bit dissapointed but still didnt want2 put the old heads back on so i drilled a hole in the head roughly the same size and fitted them. all looked pretty good and lined up well until i went to put the rockers on and realised that the rocker bolts have a different size thread. lucky for me that i still had my old s1 still laying around and used the bolts off of that. but it all went back together well and started up straight away, i just now have a bit of a mixture of s1 and s2 under the bonnet now. has any1 else tried this and come across the same problems and will the s1 head cause any dramas to my s2 engine???

yeh, i noticed the difference when ripping these motors i got apart and looking at info online.

i was planning on doing the same thing, drilling s1 heads, but ive found its going to be jsut as easy to play with s2 heads.
