That is the raptor kit which can be had for the various model engines and cars as there are subtle changes.

Yeah a Raptor is something I would love, but to put one on a VR V6 ute, hmmmm it would be nice but at close to $6k with dyno tune, it aint that nice.......

@Matey any new on the build yet? I'm keen to hear how you have got on and how the Buick goes with your upgrades.

A cheap easy mod is to fit a Holden 5L V8 throttle body there 5mm bigger you go from 60mm to 65mm or if you can find a modified one that's bord out to 70mm. The V8 throttle body adds to a free flowing intake
I fitted a 304 TB and it didn't make much difference. What i found it did change was faster throttle response with light throttle touches. Flooring it and it was almost the same as standard V6 TB.

This is relatively stock v6 running to strict race rules can port match the intake and do a valve job cam has to be stock lift but can add duration has stock cast manifolds as not allowed aftermarket extractors even still has the stock airbox and panel filter haha 140rwkwView attachment 209140

Question those pre figures 113rwkw, was that that stock factory V6 no changes with auto? I was talking to the tuner today and he said stock VR Buick will only put about 90-92rwkw in an auto. Mine has 121rwkw and was being slightly restricted on WOT just before it maxed out. Any new upgrades I do may need alterations to the intake as it will only become worse. Right now I am only just restricting at max power with WOT.

Boost, obviously supercharger?
How much increased kw would just the cam, cai, pacies & cat back create?

My list, 2.5 cat back, 1.9 rockers, Mace CAI, V8 TB, Pacies and Mace tune on auto and I have gains of around 30 rwkw. I don't have a lot more I can do unless I go for cam with some extra duration or I'd need shorter rods. Next will be new worked heads and some mild porting. May need a bored TB but will have another dyno run with new heads first.

That's not bad from the old V6. It's a bit lean in the low 13:1 AFR range but not dangerously lean. The tuner is right, in the 90's for a stock V6 so that is a decent gain.

He said the mixture was still in spec and I didn't need to change it. He reckons there is not much more left in the way of tuning gains with the current mods I have.

It's fine, personally I'd like to see high 12's but it's not going to make a huge difference power wise, more a safety factor in case things get hot or go lean for any particular reason.
