V6 spring on a V8

    V6 LOWERING KIT on a V8

    I`m going to lower my VR V8 ok so I chose a set out of an V6 acclaim springs, shocks and strutswhen it was on the acclaim it sat pretty low if I use the set from this car how is my car going to sit front end wise... eg to low..
    more importantly whats the weight difference between the ecotec and the 5.0L cheers

    Well I`ve done some checking and the weight diff is about 35-40kg

    They V6 springs will sit lower in the V8 for sure.
    Do you know what part number the springs are? Is so i can prob give you a rough idea

    dropping v6 springs in your v8 should make it sit lower yes.

    rough comparison..

    v6 superlows in a v8 = roughly v8 ultralows height
    v6 ultralows in a v8 = should get tyre tucking in the guards, and definately too low.

    best check how soft/hard the springs are, if u have softer springs, she'll bounce alot more n possibly float at hi speeds, harder springs will give u a lil stiffer ride but may not sit/settle as low.
