Hi All, I have a post running re the aircon compressor and bearing noise. I think my tension pulley bearing is noisy too and is contributing to the general noise. I have a metal pulley version. Can the bearing be changed and, if so, does anyone have the part number?

If you have an aftermarket steel pulley fitted than the bearing can be changed. Bearing part number will be on the old bearing. I seem to remember 2302 or 2303 2RS. It's definitely a common bearing.

Yes it can be changed. It's a left hand thread. There are a couple of different sizes used on the V6 so you will need to measure yours.

If you can get the old bearing out, take it to someone like CBC and they will sell you an industrial quality replacement. If it's an unusual size you might have to wait one or two days. CBC also sell idler pulleys if you want to replace the whole lot.
