have just put a v6 into a gemini, have used the pat gardner wiring kit etc. when i got the engine, it had no leads on it, what cylinder is what so i know what order to connect the leads?

also, i havent got the wiring loom that plugs into the gearbox yet, would that stop the engine from starting? (have bypassed the nuetral safety wires)

also would like to know the fuel inlet and return lines please

    cheers

love the help around here.... lol

got it all sorted out, but it still not starting. it cranks, has spark, just not sure whether its gettin fuel.

i got some dodgy fuel filter off ebay, and its sendin the fuel up to the engine bay just not sure whether it has enuff pressure.
if i disconnect the return line off the fuel rail, is fuel supposed to come out when the pump is on? because theres nothing coming out of it.

does the pump have to be hooked up to a tank for pressure? cos ive only got the pump hose in a jerry can at the moment.
    cheers,

    firing order

    . . . . . . (coil packs)
    6.2.4
    .3.5.1

fuel inlet goes to open fuel rail, return line comes off after the regulator

what V6/PCM you using? with the later model PCM (and BCM, VR onwards) you need the VATS deleted otherwise it won't run.

only just saw this thread lol

fuel should be approx 43psi at the fuel rail, so yes, if you pull the inlet hose off fuel should squirt everywhere. it your not creating enough pressure on the inlet side of the fuel rail then the regulator won't let any fuel past it
