Hi all

I am wondering if the NGK IRIDIUM plugs would be better to run in my turbo ecotec?

Do you have to go down in heat range for turbo applications??

Cheers

Iridium sparkplugs with turbo

I had them in my last car that was turbo'd (gaps closed to 1.0mm) and also have them in my NA Ute (stock 1.5mm gap).
In my opinion I think they work well, better ignitabillity - less mis-fires than stock plugs.
I heard they work over a wider heat range and lasts for ages 50,000kms or more.

Delco will tell ya, re gapped stock plugs are fine... but he's a tight :air:rse :yeah:

Pontiac Grand Prix Turbo
ac delco r42lts (3 heat ranges colder) or autolite 103's are the best plugs for turbo by far... ive tired everything and i mean everything,

standard copper with a few heat ranges difference is perfect.

as for gap

id run .040 on 5-12psi
.038 on 12-15
.035 on 15+
