The auto trans has the generic castrol oil.
Any suggestions for additives to the auto trans such as Wynns. Is their an additive that comes well recommended for the commodore?

Trans oil & filter are getting on for 5 yrs old. Oil is not dark and no burning smell. Change the oil or leave it?

Thanks

Dex III from what ever flavour that makes you happy.

Change it. 5 years seems long enough.

Change it. Only worth trying additives if it's got serious issues, then I would look at the Lucas stuff.

My trans builder uses Wynns auto trans treatment. He said it conditions the old seals. You can use full syn fluid if you want as it lasts longer than Dex III. Dex III is best changed at 25k. Full syn can go 60k.
