My 3 pulleys on the front of the motor are singing a lovely song but I'm going to replace them on Monday with a new set of the Repco ones.

Just wondering is there anything I should do that isn't in the manual or is it just a matter of undoing the bolts and slipping on the new pulleys.

One other thing, what's the best method to loosen off the belt and then retighten it.

Tensioner pulley, 15 or 16mm spanner and push down, it's the pulley just under the alternator one.
To replace that one its reverse threaded, so to loosen the bolt you'll have to turn it clockwise as if you were tightening it.

The other two pulleys are just normal thread, takes 15 minutes tops.

The search function is always good too, you can learn heaps from using it ;)

There is only one method of loosening the belt and that is with a spanner on the centre bolt of the tensioner pulley, turn the bolt anti-clockwise and you will see the belt loosening. Make a diagram of how the belt runs to aid you refitting it.
As far as replacing the pulleys goes it's just a matter of removing the centre bolt and pulling it off, sometimes a bit of force might be required. Remember that the bolt on the tensioner pully is left hand thread (it is undone clockwise).
Edit: I am a bit late with the same sort of info.

Thanks guys and yes I also do the sites google search but this only work best if you know the technical name of the procedures.
Someone said there's a tube site for looking up instructional vidoes for vehicle maintenance, does anyone know what the site is called.
    Cheers Kate

We to replaced the 3 pulleys just recently and had to go buy a small puller to remove the pulley the bolt took a little force to undo.
I had to slip the belt back on so get it running until the next night and check the water pump for play while your in there.
Our pump had some play in the bearing so we also replaced the water pump which was very easy compared to other makes of vehicles.
