v8 engines for VL's?

It would depend on your budget as the the best motor you could afford. However the ex HSV LSA does represent great value for money at the moment.

Alternatively you could pickup a wrecked LS1 and use it as a donor car. Plenty of LS1 engines around and cheap to get decent power out of.
Pretty sure you can buy aftermarket engine mounts to fit the LS1 straight into a VL.

Specs are nice but it sure is an ugly motor
