Can u place a rear resonator from a V8 exhaust on to a V6? I want the geniune twin tip look, will it make the car sound different in a worse way? Thanks

Yes you can place a "v8" resonator on a v6 exhaust....

all resonators are the same, no such thing as a v8 one.

Wow....so ambiguous a question. Yes there is a difference. The V8 resonator, factory one that is, is less restrictive than the V6 model. Also you haven't said what model it is off and what it is going onto, or if it is sports or std. Std exhaust, VN V8 will only fit VN V6 series 1, then the VN series 2 up to VS had a flex in the rear resonator. Also IRS and live axle are different. There are a few combinations of sports exhausts too and some brands are not interchangable.

But suppose it did bolt straight up, the twin tip V8 rear resonator probably wont be any different than the std one. Apart from looks.

in the end a muffler can be welded up to any exhaust system.

Even if it isnt same pipe size... flanges can be made.
