yo i jus wanted to know if theres anyone out there who can giv me some listings of parts i would need to do a conversion from a v6 to v8 LS1 in my vx 02 S2. i jus wanted to find out what parts i need. Thats all nothing else. if someone cood tell me most of the parts that would be sweet. cheers
WoW thats a lot of work > How commited are you? Remember new computer/s will be required then all that needs to be reprogrammed into the body control unit at holden or tech two which means a tow there...Might be better off buying a half cut front end then its all there. In my op You will need everything from radiator back to, including the tourqe converter. The Brake Booster may need to be replaced with a V8 booster/master set up. Im not sure but you my need Prop shaft (different length?) Engine mounts Over flow bottle V8 cooling fan set up Air intake/tubing Map sensor. V8 oxy sensors/exhust Power Steering pump and tubing? Air con Tubing Shocks/springs will need to be suited for V8 Whats your Diff? LSD? Thats what i can think of for now..... I dont mean to dishearten you but it is a lot of work. But if you do have a great passion to do it go for it as there's no greater pleasure to a driver who has put his own motor in. I BUILT IT!! Cost if you shop/bargain for it 6K I rek. Might be an idea at lookin at doin a trade? that might be cheaper?
