hey... soo my boosted v6 is revving fine but just not idling like she should (rough) the car dosnt stall at all... just my vaccume gauge reads 10-15 inHG and when u rev it the vaccume builds to 20inHG, insted of towards 0psi... ive checekd all hoses and replaced inlet gaskets/valley seals and it still does it... anyone got any theories..
yeah it does like +/- 2 weird... u rev it.. revs fine, vaccume sits at round 20inHG, u let throttle go... stays at 20inHG untill 1500rpm when it hits idle and vaccume drops back to 10inHG found oil + water out the exhust (right at the end) i got a compression tester, im gonna do a comperssion test on the cyclinders...
is that +/- 2" if it is then there is definitly a problem in the motor. does sound like you need it with all the troubles you have had with it. i'd suggest giving it a birthday before using it to be safe also. bearings/rings/gaskets etc. maybe tickle the heads with a die grinder whilst your at it also
well before i jump into the engine swap im gonna rip the heads off and take a peak, if the headgaskets / heads are just gone then ill probbly just swap them , ive identified the crappy cyclinders so i know where to look...
the results said "holy ****, wheres my compression gone" then the headgasket said "ive been hit" its fixable so it shall be fixed, copper headgaskets this time
easier to change headgasket than engine ACL copper headgaskets ordered, should have them tommorrow cars sitting in the garage with the heads off waiting for new headgaskets
wow, never seen 'em that bad. might as well tickle the heads while you have 'em of, de carb and lap the valves in to make sure you got a good seal there etc
