Cammed mafless VS Calais 5-speed.
Has anyone used this stuff? It's called Valvoline Engine Armour 15W-40. I was looking at it today and it's only about $30 and it says it's a blended synthetic.

i used it a long time ago , I think its crap but others like it.
Instead I would recommend Valvoline DuraBlend , 15W50 which is a better oil and more suitable grade for your ecotec. Auto One sells it for about $30 also.

I've just put Valvoline EA 15W-40 into my Gen 3 VY SS (with a Ryco filter). So far, so good.
It's recommended on Valvoline's website as suitable for Commodores (V6 and v8 models). The viscosity is recommended in GMH's service booklet as a 2nd choice if 5W-30 or 10W-30 isn't available. Then again, if your car's done over 140,000kms then a higher viscosity ie. 15W-40 is more appropriate.
