The 32/36 was a very general carb. They used them on 2l escorts all the way through to the 4.1l falcon.

Just as a side note, DGV was manual choke and the DGAV was auto choke. I never liked the auto choke, so I always made sure the choke was manual. the Auto choke used water flow.

I'm a bit lost here - mechaical newbie.

I thought the Varajet (2?) on the 81-83 commodores have auto-choke?
So switching to a manual choke DGV would mean installing something to adjust the choke from inside the cabin, no? Or do you just set and forget on the carby itself?
Or am I way off?
