VB Commodore removal of external chrome window trim.
Currently servicing the electric windows, replacing Bailey channel etc.
Need to remove the outer chrome window trim to replace the rubber trim but unsure how to get the chrome trim off.
Can anyone guide on how to remove them. Chrome trims are all in near perfect condition so do not want to damage or bend them.

Do you mean the waist or sometimes called a belt mould?

Not sure what it’s called.
It’s the rubber piece that appears to slide into the external outer chrome moulding that sits on the door sill just above the external door handles.
It’s to stop water getting inside the doors.

door belt mould (or seal)

clips onto clips that sit on the pinch weld that joins the outer and inner panel of the door

Thanks Smitty,
Do I use a screwdriver to lever the chrome piece of trim off the clips and when I have replaced the rubber just push the chrome moulding back over the clips?
