Yeah as far as I know, old mans vk ls1 has manual steering, from memory came from a old vb

yes... both 6 and 8cyl manual racks all the same
*but note
there are visible diffs as they were supplied by a number of vendors

Actually NO,

I had 2 VH's with different manual racks.
They had different mounting angles, had to swap over the the rack as well to use the K frame from my wrecker into my rally build.

Interesting, I've not heard of this before.......My understanding was the only changes were made during the VK production?

I've used different vb to vk model manual racks they all bolted up fine...noticed there were different types of intermediate shafts & brands of racks but all worked fine.
