VB - VK HEADLIGHT INTERNAL CONVERTION

Has any one ever tried converting the inners of a VH - VK headlight into a VB - VC headlight, am only talking about taking the inner reflective and bulb mounting wiring loom connection and internal spring set up and fitting into a VB/VC as look the same and only difference I can pick between series in headlights is outer frame moulding and lens ( VH and VK slightly more angular and not fit into VB/VC grill but fits VB/VC body as many of the old VB/ VC /VH were turned into fake brocks in times past.) and electrically both systems are the same and seem as they will go together in both housings. Can anybody confirm this as if works we can now retore all our VB/VC headlights like new as you can not get new ones any more, also can anyone confirm that the rubber in a toranas bumper bars also fits standard VB/VC commodoores ... if so we can now restore our bars as well,.... just some food for thought as the rat rod boys reckon should work and if does will save a heap of $ to anyone restoring these old classics and a nightmare avoided chasing parts.

You can get the reflectors resilvered and the fixtures re-anodized. With some basic wiring tools, you should be able to fabricate a new internal loom.

As for other components, wiring etc, you'd need to send other metal parts to a metal plater to be re-zinced.
