thanks mate, I was thinking the same .

I am not sure to leave the bastard in as the whole point of it to support the inner gearbox shaft.. there is no load on that thing at all.

Mate has a buddy who was Holden mechanic and he said, they need changing every 85 years haha

I guess they don't fail that often..

If it’s not obviously worn, I’d leave it alone… just don’t wash the bronze bush with degreaser  in fact maybe just pop it out and soak it in some light oil just to refreshed it before reinstalling :p

Was recommended to me to put a brass bush in with grease, which is how I have put mine in....Even popping an old one out, they use grease...

I heard they last many many years but why is different to the one I got in the kit? Also it doesn't spin on inside the new one does..

Honestly I have no idea

Hi all, got the spigot bearing out . Couple of scratches but will get a new one tomorrow... Got new tyres and wheels are all done. Also been busy with my daily Pajero, try to book these bloody mechanics to clean the soot out off intake manifold... Nobody wants to do it, all booked for weeks.. what a joke. I did it myself as I am on 2000 km trip next week , who needs mechanics :)
