Hi all, car at the panel shop so I did some work on the steering wheel, I bought this one last year, it's old school wheel that I think will suite the car, forget about finding original one plus the cost. The steering wheel had leather damage on the back off it from fingers , it's old but I do like how aged leather is smooth , to repair with new leather was $300 bucks, so I've had it Fixed myself with this leather repair kit, all good now $20 bucks like new

Nothing wrong going 2nd hand, but if your budget allows, go for the newie.....

The only problem I have ever struck with flywheels, is the ring gear being chipped.....But when I have had that problem, I have had new ring gear put on, so problem was solved....

My Red motor flywheel was 2nd hand when I put it on 10 years ago, with the new ring gear.....When fitted to the red, I spun that motor a fair few times to 7,000 RPM....Once or twice I spun it to 7,500 RPM....Currently it is on my blue motor and have spun that to 6,500 RPM a few times as well and so far it's hanging together

So best of luck which ever way you go

I am leaning towards OEM flywheel, old school steel is good quality and teeth are in great Nick.
